Qwstion Ad Campaign
Was just transferring files on wetransfer.com and I came across this beautiful photo ad campaign from qwstion.com

Great Steven Spielberg Quote – applies to all creatives
This is an interview from after Close Encounters became a hit. And I think this quote applies to just about every creative endeavor.
“I think the toughest thing for a director to do is to know what he wants. It’s not how to get what you want, it’s knowing what you want.
So many people make movies, and they don’t know what you want. They say, I think I want the person to scream now, or I think I want you to act like you’re happy… no scared!
Once you know what you want, once you have a clear vision — you can figure out how to get it.”

LA painter: Amber Shields
Just wanted to make a quick post of some new work by Amber Shields, an LA based Painter. What I love about her new stuff is that it’s such a great reflection on the happenings of her life right now. For instance, her work on comic books has been taking off — and you can really see that reflected in the style of these pieces. As well as that she’s paying homage to the “art of lingerie” after a huge gig that she’s recently had doing art for a prominent Los Angeles lingerie company (see below). And lastly, her love of a very lucky, abandoned dog that she adopted – a beautiful white, wolf-like crossbreed of some sort. So cool to see it all come to life in these pieces.

Then when I finally got around to going to his website, I discovered that he has made a ton of hilarious and wonderful images, such as these:

I thought of him again recently when I was looking for a gift for a friend — the type of person who already has a ton of novels, doesn’t want a junk for his house, won’t go get a massage, and already owns every movie he could ever want. So I bought him this:
